In this fun workshop, tamariki will draw self-portraits that showcase what makes them unique! They'll include their favourite things, culture, loved ones, and more - celebrating their individuality through art. By the end, each child will have a personalized portrait that tells their own special story.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Briana Duffy (Te Rarawa, Rarotonga, Fiji, Pākehā) is a Tāmaki Makaurau-based artist with a Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts from the Elam School of Fine Arts. Her work explores the intersections of culture, feminism, and colonialism, using art to challenge dominant narratives and reclaim identities. By blending personal and collective experiences, she encourages audiences to reflect on their cultural identities and the influence of history on contemporary society.
