Founded in 1938 as the Balmoral Boys’ Silver Band, Auckland City Brass is an A Grade brass band based in Three Kings, Auckland. The band is committed to developing, teaching, and performing quality brass music in the community, and also regularly appears at competitions, public events, and at private functions. The conductor of Auckland City Brass is Mark Close (Ex-APO Trombonist). The members of the band vary in age and playing level. We are a open community band who welcomes and encourages new players to join or even come and have a blow.
