Joseph Michael: dark cloud/white light
29 July, 2014 - 30 August, 2014
AV Room
Joseph Michael’s multi-media installation, dark cloud/white light, comprises ten remarkable landscape videos filmed in remote, empty locations throughout New Zealand.
Captured through time-lapse photography and using the latest 2D and 3D technology, each video is filmed over a 24 hour period. Each evolving landscape plays out as a loop video that seamlessly condenses more than 10,000 individual photographs and allows the viewer to experience the magic of the landscape as it slowly transitions from night into day.
Join Joseph Michael at the Pah Homestead on Saturday 23 August for an inside look into how he created this breath-taking exhibition. This artist talk begins at 11.30am.
Please note the change of date for this artist talk, no longer on Saturday 30 August as originally advertised.
