In its ongoing commitment to support and provide opportunities for live performance, The Arts House Trust is proud to present the Sunday Concert Series 2024 - an eclectic array of musicians and musical genres showcasing local performers.
Persian-born, New Zealand-raised, Marjan Nelson is an exceptionally talented jazz, and soul singer-songwriter whose music explores themes of love, struggle, surrender, and empowerment. Her debut EP ‘Noor’ was recorded in New York City, where she collaborated with musicians and producers from the Broadway hit musical ‘Hamilton’.
Marjan is a versatile and distinctive entertainer who brings a strong onstage presence, seamlessly incorporating traditional Persian instruments into her music with modern jazz and neo-soul elements.
Join her for an evening where she will perform music from her debut EP, new originals and arrangements of timeless loved classics alongside some of New Zealand’s finest jazz musicians.
