Tim Heath writes poetry and, occasionally, gets it published.
He was MC at Auckland’s Poetry Live for several years. He has won Poetry Slams, in New Zealand and Australia including Poetry Idol, Womad, Going West, Burnie Gold Cup (Tasmania) and Bellingen(rural NSW).
Tim published a memoir “The Accidental Teacher” in 2021 and a poetry collection, “Not as The Crow Flies”, in 2018.
A recording of some of his poetry can be heard by googling Tim Heath Six Pack Poetry. He writes about everyday life and believes poetry should straightforward, even funny. Time for writing is happily compromised by 11 grandchildren, reading, cooking, gardening, golf, ocean sailing (crew not owner), watching sports, table tennis, tending the multiple needs of an ageing Grey Lynn villa… and dreaming.
Sane-Va Ginnen is a 28 year old engineer who has had a lifelong, almost, love affair with the piano. He has been a pupil of the illustrious Denys Trussell.
He plays to a standard that made it reasonable for him to consider a professional career but opted to pursue his engineering successes and keep music as a consuming and satisfying passion.
Music at Midday returns to Pah Homestead with an hour of free live music from 12 to 1pm each Saturday.
Auckland is rich with a diverse range of creative musical talent and we celebrate this every week. Sit down in the drawing room to enjoy the live music, or peruse the galleries while you listen to the music drifting through the building.
