Music at Midday: Mahoney Harris

Saturday 31 August, 12-1pm
FREE Event
Folk/Pop Guitar

Folk/Pop artist, Mahoney Harris writes intimate, wistful but hopeful tunes. Her voice has been described as 'honest, charming and beguiling'.

In 2009, with the help of Tom Healy (Paquin, Tiny Ruins) Mahoney recorded her debut e.p, But They Do, receiving warm praise from fans and critics.

Reaching her PledgeMe crowd-funding goal, Mahoney recorded and released the album We Didn’t Feel Alone in 2014 with producer, Tom Healy, Wayne Bell and a handful of other talented NZ musicians.

Mahoney has since released the sparse acoustic ballad ‘The Shifting of the Light’ and the countrified reminiscence ‘Band in Town’, the defiant indie pop track ‘I Don’t Have To Move From Here’ and the wistful, 60s inspired ‘Going the Distance’.

Mahoney is currently working on more releases with Wayne Bell, culminating in a future album. Stay tuned…

Music at Midday returns to Pah Homestead with an hour of free live music from 12 to 1pm each Saturday.

Auckland is rich with a diverse range of creative musical talent and we celebrate this every week.  Sit down in the drawing room to enjoy the live music, or peruse the galleries while you listen to the music drifting through the building.
