Join Jaime as she speaks about her practice and process in response to her work in the exhibition. After the talk enjoy a screening of ‘Breaking the Mould’ by Phillida Perry. The short film is a visceral glimpse into the life and work of acclaimed New Zealand sculptor, Jaime Jenkins, whose unconventional upbringing combines with the elements to inform her ceramic explorations.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

JAIME JENKINS
Jaime Jenkins graduated with a Diploma of Visual Art, Toi Ohomai, Tauranga, and has undertaken internships with Laurie Steer and Francis Upritchard. She was the 2022 recipient of Dame Doreen’s Gift from the Blumhardt Foundation, and her work is in the collection of Te Papa.
