How to enter:

Visit our website and enter on our Secondary School Art Awards page, from Wednesday 24 July 2024.

You may submit one artwork (per person).

Mediums include painting, drawing, photography, digital art, ceramics, sculpture and soft materials.

Please have the title, dimensions, up to two photographs (maximum file size 5MB) and brief description of your artwork (maximum 100 words) ready before you begin the entry process.

Framing your artwork is not required and does not give you an advantage in the judging process.

If your artwork is selected for the finalists exhibition, you are responsible for the delivery and postage of your artwork to and from the Pah Homestead in Auckland. If you reside outside of Auckland, please supply a prepaid courier envelope in order for us to return your work.

If your work is needed for an external exam assessment, please advise which date.

Competition judges are The Arts House Trust staff.

Good luck!

Competitions like this give students the opportunity to be seen, rewarded, and encouraged to continue making. The recognition I’ve received from this win has been so encouraging and makes me look forward to my future as an artist and what I’m going to create next.

This prize will help me pay for art supplies next year at Elam. I’m very grateful.
