Lying In Space

Lying In Space
17 December, 2013 - 2 March, 2014
Master Bedroom

Scott Gardiner, Disappear Here (2013), oil based coloured pencil, acrylic and varnish on paper on board

Lying In Space brings together the work of Scott Gardiner, Erin-Monique O'Brien, Evan Woodruffe, Ben Pearce and Gary Peters. It provides a platform for collaboration between the artists, incorporating the physical locale of the gallery space  that becomes an integral element of the exhibition. The inclusion of Ben Pearce, an artist recognised for his sculptural objects and wall-mounted works, extends conversations between the works beyond the four walls of the gallery. Rather than simply installing the work, the artists aim to create an immersive experience, setting up a careful and considered dialogue between the artworks, the environment and the viewer. The changing nature of the museum space as it transitions from a solemn presentation space to an experiential environment will be examined.

Lying In Space is supported by PAULNACHE.
